Embracing
Families
The Embracing Families program is a year long supportive process
for families working towards specific goals for themselves and their
families. Families meet once a week with their service coordinator
to work towards the goals they have established. In addition to
the weekly meetings, families attend a series of workshops offered
throughout the year to reinforce the goals they have selected for
their families.
Carolina recently graduated from Embracing Families and has decided
to work with the program coordinator in mentoring a new family.
She wants to volunteer her time to assist a new family set and reach
goals. She has strengthened her existing skills and gained many
more through this program. It is so rewarding to see her excitement
to share her knowledge and experience with others!
